Private lessons offer one-on-one instruction tailored to your specific needs, allowing you to progress at your own pace and focus on perfecting technique, styling, and choreography with individualized feedback.
Semi-private lessons are small group sessions where a limited number of students receive personalized attention, allowing for a more affordable, yet focused, learning experience with the opportunity for both group dynamics and individual coaching.
Group classes provide a fun and social environment where you can learn dance techniques, choreography, and styling. Instruction will progress throughout the session, ensuring you grow and develop your skills at a comfortable pace.

Salsa is a vibrant dance that reflects a rich blend of cultural influences. Originating
from Afro-Antillean rhythms like Rumba, Son, Mambo, Bomba, Plena, Chachachá, and
Pachanga, it incorporates elements of American Jazz, Soul, and Blues, as well as various
European rhythms. At its core, salsa maintains a foundational step rooted in Son or
Mambo, and follows the clave rhythm.
The 1960s and 70s marked the international rise of salsa, leading to distinct regional
variations by the 1980s. Notable styles emerged from Cuba, New York, Puerto Rico, Los
Angeles, and Colombia. The Latin Dance industry expanded significantly in the 1990s,
marked by the first International Salsa Congress in 1997 in Puerto Rico, followed by a
surge in Salsa academies, competitions and professional dancers.
Bachata originated in the Dominican Republic in the 1960s and is known for its rhythmic
"taps" on the fourth beat. Over the years, various styles have evolved from this
traditional form, including sensual Bachata, which takes influences from Brazilian
Zouk.
Novaera’s classes vary from traditional to modern Bachata.
Merengue is a lively dance from the Dominican Republic. The traditional merengue (also
known as Merengue Cibaeño or Merengue Típico) emerged in the mid 1800s in the northern
Cibao region.
Merengue’s body motion and footwork technique is present in many other styles of Latin
Dance, such as Salsa or Bachata.
Cha Cha originated in Cuba in the 1940s, evolving from traditional Cuban rhythms such as Danzón and Son. This dance is popular in both ballroom and Latin dance competitions.
Pachanga, often danced to Charanga music, emerged in Cuba during the late 1950s, blending Afro-Cuban rhythms with jazz and swing influences.
Boogaloo developed in New York during the 1960s, combining Afro-Cuban rhythms with soul and R&B. As rock ’n’ roll and pop music grew in popularity, Latin artists incorporated these new sounds in their music, thus creating a new style of dance.
Latin Hustle emerged in 1970s New York and is a partner dance influenced by disco, swing, and Latin styles. It features smooth footwork, spins, and turns, often danced to upbeat disco music.
